Pet World offers Birthday Parties! Who says learning can't be fun?
Every Pet World birthday party is packed full of fun, safe animal experiences while learning about various reptiles, small mammals, birds and even fish if you're visiting our store! Your kids will remember this experience for years to come!

Pet World Comes To You!
This party option is where Pet World comes out to you! If you already have a party planned this is perfect for you. We will bring out and teach the kids about reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and birds while letting them pet and hold various animals. We can focus on specific groups of animals if your child has a particular interest (like bring out all snakes) or bring a variety with us! We'll let you snap pictures of your party kids with some of these animals and take away the experience of getting to meet these awesome creatures up close.
Presentations are up to an hour long and run $100 for anywhere inside the city limits of Lawrence.

Parties at Pet World.
This party option is where your party comes to Pet World. You will get to use our education room and we will be able to get out any animal your party is interested in meeting! We'll be learning about those animals and be able to pet and maybe hold them while being in a more private area of the store so your party has all of the animals' attention. These parties can be during the day on weekends or anytime during weekdays that we have staff available! We provide a table and area for your family to bring and cake, snacks and to open presents if you choose! The first 30-45 minutes are for your family to do your personal birthday activities (cake, treats, presents any other activity you would like to do) and we will be providing an interactive presentation with live animals at the second half of the party, lasts 45-60 minutes!
This party is an hour and a half long and runs $150 for up to 15 kids then $175 for 15-20.

A Private Animals After Dark or Pet World in the P.M.
This party option is where we host a private Animals After Dark or Pet World in the P.M. just for your group! The program is very similar to the normal program only with a few extra birthday activities: eating cupcakes instead of popsicles, opening presents (optional) and singing "Happy Birthday" at dinner. The kids will get 'lights on' experiences with the animals as well as 'lights off' experiences with flashlights! Plus, we'll play hide and seek for the last part of the party (sometimes their favorite part!). Typically the birthday parents stay until just after dinner (when we've opened presents) but, of course, are invited to stay for the entire night! This 3 and a half hour long party is definitely one kids will never forget!
This party is 3.5 hours long and runs $275 for up to 10 kids then $300 for 10-15. (This includes pizza and cupcakes) Generally Saturdays, 6:30-10pm
Please plan to include flashlights for all of the kids (sometimes done in the gift bags, glow sticks are also a very cute idea!) or ask that they bring their own in your invitations!

All dates are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, and require a $50 deposit to hold the date.
Please use this calendar for your reference of already scheduled events or parties. Note: just because the time is busy on the calendar does not mean we cannot schedule a party at the same time, it's possible, but will be more difficult so please provide as many choices as possible.

Pet World's Educational and Kids' Program staff are all trained professionals with years of experience working with children and animals. All are extensively trained in child development, teaching and coaching; First Aid, Rescue, and CPR certified; and background checked.
Pet World's Kids' Programs maintain adult-to-child ratios between 1:3 and 1:6 at all times.
- May, 2011 staff memebers Megan, Erin, Kevin and Morgan certifying (and re-certifying) in First Aid, Rescue and CPR at the American Red Cross in Lawrence, KS.
