With Pet World's huge selection of freshwater fish, and with new selections often arriving weekly, customers frequently ask how we’re able to keep our fish alive and healthy during those rough transition periods.  Well, one of our tricks is quite simple: we use Seachem’s Stability every time we add new fish to a tank.

Stability is an amazing product that can help aquarists start up new tanks quickly and can ease the addition of new fish into an established aquarium.  Stability contains bacteria – good bacteria, which help your aquarium by processing fish waste and turning harmful ammonia into nitrites that will in turn change into less harmful nitrates.  This bacteria will occur in your tank naturally, but it takes time for the bacteria to reproduce to the point that the population is sufficient to support your aquarium.  Stability simply speeds the process along.

We offer Stability in several different sizes.  A Pet World employee will be happy to explain how to use Stability in your tank!

• While we carry several brands of live bacteria that serve the same purpose, Stability tends to last longer in the bottle once opened than other brands.
• Don’t worry about overdosing – you really can’t add too much Stability!
• You won’t have to continually add Stability – the bacteria will repopulate on their own after getting off to a great start with Stability.
• When doing water changes, a small dose of Stability afterward can help repopulate any bacteria that may have been removed.
• While Stability won't harm an empty tank, it is designed for use with stocked aquariums as the bacteria need the organic waste in order to live and thrive.
